Japanese Whalers take prisoners
An Amazing story on the high seas. It started when the "Bridgette Bardot" had to return to port after sustaining damage in high seas. The anti Whaling ship the "Steve Irwin" accompanied the vessel back to port. Meanwhile the armed Whaling scout vessel "Shonan Maru #2" tailed the 2 vessels into Australian waters. It is
illegal for Whaling ships to enter Australian waters So a daring move by Forest Activists boarded the Shonan Maru #2 and were subsequently taken prisoner.
This is one for the Australian Federal government to sort out. We will have to wait and see.
