"Temporarily" Locked Out of Facebook for a Month

I sign on, then get this message:
"For security reasons your account is temporarily locked
If this account reflects your real name and personal information, please help us verify it."
Then I click continue and get a captcha
I fill that in correctly then get another message:
"No verification methods are currently available. Please come back later."

My account was locked out in mid-January. I reported it to FB several times. Followed their instructions, etc. I also noticed there were several threads - since locked - on this forum with the same problem. No answers there though.
Any ideas?

This suggests you may have logged in ( tried to !!) from a location that Facebook does not recognise as being you ?

This has not been an 'unusual' event from other threads in tisi section!!

Why? What happened and what email did you get from Facebook about this ?

I also noticed there were several threads - since locked - on this forum with the same problem. No answers there though.

Due unfortunately to people not coming back to their threads to give any progress report.

If people are that concerned about access to their Facebook account they ( I think ? ) will seek to come back to seek help

May be they are just not that bothered?

It is always from home, but my ISP uses dynamic addressing. Perhaps FB relies too heavily on IP-based security?

I used the contact form several times to report the problem. I get a standard email back asking for screen shots. Then nothing more. Then I wait and report it again. Rinse, wash, repeat, etc.

Unfortunately I am using mine to promote a startup business. I did not make my personal account an admin for the page I am maintaining :-( I have got around 16 likes on the page and I don't want to recreate it and start from zero.

Lets just make sure it is Facebook you seek to log into and not a phishing site?

No joy, Ruby. I get the same messages. I suspect FB has some kind of bug. The problem is that it doesn't seem to affect many people so there is no rush to fix it.

Nothing fit. I even did a search on the message text and nothing showed up. However, I did find another support address to contact

Nothing at all. No response from FB. Account still locked out.

Please tell us you do have some progress?
