Facebook Photo Tagging is a Privacy nightmare!
Call me old fashion, but I just don't like people doing things without my permission. I don't know a single person who would not be offended if someone, even a friend, took their photo album and showed it to a bunch of random people with out their permission. But for some reason, facebook thinks it is acceptable for random people to go around tagging you in photos so everyone of their friends, and their friends, and their friends will know what you look like. It's like putting your photo ID on the internet. And the worst part is that facebook gives you no way to stop it other then to spend hours individually clicking on hundreds of pictures and manually clicking the "Remove Tag" link. This is wrong! Something MUST be done about it! The question is what? There are thousands of intelligent people that have complained about this all over the web, but facebook does not seem to care. We are not asking facebook get rid of this feature all together, we just want the option to turn it off for our profile so nobody can tag us in a photo without our permission. What can we do to get our message to facebook?

Thanks for the link, but you and I both know that submitting a feedback there is like throwing a bucket of water in the Atlantic Ocean. When people start suing facebook for enabling identity theft, that's when they will start caring.

I agree Photo Tagging is a nightmare & not just for privacy. It drives me crazy for people to tag me in their photos to clutter up my wall w/their photos and mess up what I have in my banner section. I don't have a lot of personal photos, but general photos.
Tagging for any reason (in my opinion) should have to be approved by the person being tagged prior to the tagging. Certain things...I don't mind, but it should be my decision, not me having to go & untag myself.
What do you think?

Well put. I could not agree with you more.

Yes, it would be very simple. If someone tags you, FB sends you a message saying "So-and-so tagged you in a photograph. Do you accept this tag?" You say yes or no.
