I contacted The Media About This Facebook Roadblock Problem
Apologies if this is in the wrong section... I wasn't sure where to put it, please feel free to move it to a more appropriate section if need be.
Anyways, I thought I would post on here, the email I sent to Bloomberg(I sent it to one of the writers on a story concerning Facebook, a negative article concerning Facebook, I might add), I also sent an email to wired.com and put my message under the box "News Tip". Lastly, I sent one to Pc World.com, I aimed that one at the editor.
This is the email I sent them, please tell me what you think of it
Do you think there's any chance, they'll read my email and publish an article on their site, similar to it?
It's a last resource for me tbh. I haven't been able to get into my Facebook for a week, so I'm pretty depserate, it can't hurt to contact the media, can it?
I would urge others to do the same. Once the media gets wind of this, I'm sure it won't be long til Facebook is shamed into removing the roadblock

Hello, I was just wondering if you could possibly publish an article about Facebook's recent decision to introduce http://www.ssl.facebook.com/roadblock (mobile roadblock) upon users logging in? I have written a piece, which I am hoping you could read/alter and publish it on your website or discuss it on your tv channel? Below is the piece I have written concerning the new Facebook security decision:
Thousands of members of popular social networking site, Facebook.com, are outraged, following the site's decision to put up a roadblock, thus preventing some members of Facebook to log in.
Upon logging in, thousands of loyal Facebook members see a mobile facebook roadblock page, which asks the user to input their mobile details in order to continue.
However, Facebook users have found many flaws with the new security system. One member on thefacebookforum.net posted:
"It's so frustrating. I don't eve have a mobile number. I've sent countless emails to facebook explaining this, they don't even have the decency to send me a real reply, sometimes I don't even get the pleasuere of an automated reply."
Another, from Ireland, said. "Ireland is not listed on the available countries, so I can't even send a sms to verify my account because there's no Irish country code to send the message to."
Many facebook members have claimed, the new security breach is an invasion of their privacy, some have even went so far to slam the new servivce by saying it's "discrimination" for those who don't own cell phones.
Hundreds have complained of being locked out of there account. Most have sent an email to facebook, carefully explaining their problems, but the site, according to the majority,do not reply and if they do, they send an automated reply, NEVER a personal reply.
This has sent many facebook members to slam the service and some have gone back to their old Bebo pages.
"At least the folk running Bebo actually had decent people running the site, so a personal reply was sent to each user who had a problem" one member wrote on a popular tech forum.
So how long will Facebook get away with their latest "security scam" and remove the mobile roadblock?
Do you think there's any chance, they'll read my email and publish an article on their site, similar to it?

I have moved this From a Disabled accounts to FAQ section
if only to try to explain to you and all that we here have no control over what Facebook does or does not do
I suggest you carry on your investigations in private as we do not wish for Newspapers , Media etc to get involved with this site or come here to accuse us of anything untoward
Your comments are for you ; what I think of the Roadblock I keep to myself and merely work with those who try to find a resolution without insinuating to anyone and suggestion of wrong-doing
