An odd lost friend/Block problem

This is a weird one. My fiance and I were sitting together the other night on our laptops, when suddenly she disappeared off my friends list. She could see my wall and all posts, but I couldn't see hers. We tried removing and re-adding each other and the same thing continued. Checked all the popular suggestions I found online and nothing worked. Some said to wait and it would come back, but that hasn't panned out... it actually got worse.

Now yesterday, I disappeared from her list, and we both are essentially blocked from each other. Can't see any posts to common friends, and our pages don't exists to each other. Now I've checked both accounts and neither of us have blocked each other, but that's exactly what it looks like. I had her change her password... did mine too. Checked account security and disconnected anything that didn't look familiar, even though we both also access from our phones regularly.

I'm stumped. She's got about 1400 friends, and has lost several in the same way over the past few weeks. I thought that perhaps someone had been hacking into her account, but if so the disruptions are minimal... mainly aimed at me. Anything's possible I suppose. But, I would think that if that were the case I would be listed on the block list, or on a new "friends list" with restricted access. None of that applies. Any way to reset the account without losing everything or something else I can check?
