Inbox and online chat problem

Hello everyone. My facebook account changed. When I try to look up my inbox. I lost them. I mean I still have the senders, but when I try to open their messages, they show our past speeches. Some of my friends sent me pictures with private message. So that I cannot see them. My Inbox just shows my conversational past between my friends and I.

When I am on online chat. Normally It was showing - to minimize chat window and x to close chat window. Now I have one more icon which is like square. When I pick someone to speak on my list. It shows our conversational past on the top of the window, we can chat at the same window.

I do not know how I did it, but I want my old profile back. Could you help me about it please ?

Is it possible to switch back to the old messages/profile? No.
Is it possible not to save chat history in your messages? No.
What's that square chat icon? Probably you've clicked on Pop-out Chat. Be sure to click it and it should say Pop-in Chat.

I'm afraid you can't change it. Facebook doesn't give any options for chat history yet.

oh! I was sure it did... but then I lost all my precious conversation with a friend... they should really include a chat history, it's useful!
