Cause of abnormal Facebook display and search for tips
I ironed out the worst problems with my church's website, but opened a whole new can of worms when I created a Facebook page to direct traffic to my personal website.
First, I tried to put on simple Facebook button on my site and instead got a chopped version of a much larger image. So my first request is: How do I fix this?

Second, all the administrator options and setting are a black box to me. I guess the best way to simplify this is to ask: Which options will best created a strong relationship between my website and my Facebook page? What tutorials do I need to read?

Replace the crappy code you added to display the image (which, by the way, is copyrighted by Facebook) for this.

Your second question now. Do you already administer/manage a Facebook Page? What is precisely what you can't understand, or what you'd like to do?

- Code:
<a href="Link to your Facebook Page" alt="Find us on Facebook" target="_blank"><img src="http://i61.servimg.com/u/f61/16/11/80/04/facebo11.png"></a>

Thanks; your code was just what I needed. One downside: The Facebook page I built to receive this traffic has gone missing. And, when I log into my personal account and search for it ("These Favored Things") I get zilch.
Second question. I administer a new Facebook page for my church and I have the usual personal page for just me.

Has gone missing how? Isn't this your page?

If so, use this code.
The fact that you have a personal and fan/business/like page has no influence whatsoever on this topic.

That's not the one gone missing. It's the new one named "These Favored Things" that is intended to boost traffic to a website of the same name.

Holy cow, I didn't know that admin entryway existed! I'm badly in need of learning more of the fine points of Facebook.
One more question: Now that I can get into the page as admin, is there some final step I need to take so that it shows up for people who search for "These Favored Things"? I created a "dummy" Facebook account of a non-existent person so I can look at my Facebook pages as others see them. Doing a search for the title These Favored Things turned up zilch.

Make sure your page has no country or age restrictions, in Edit Page => Manage Permissions => Restrictions. Make sure the Only admins can see this page option isn't marked.
If those 2 settings are correct, everyone who performs a search with your page's name will get the proper result under the Pages filter.
