facebook insight/page statistics not logical

sorry that it is in german but i think that you are all familiar with the statistics
i have a problem understanding the monthly active user bar (pink line). This should represent the users that have interacted with my site at least once a month. but then why is the line constantly changing? this would be logical for daily active users. shouldnt it be that if one user clicks/reads/ etc one of my posts, the amount should be "one user per month" meaning that the amount of monthly active users should INGREASE within a period but why is there also a drop? same goes for the weekly active users (green line)
maybe somebody knows how facebook rates its data... thx in advance!
