Is there a way to prevent others from posting an event in my facebook events and only show the events i post ?

Yes ... I Guess ?

When I go to my Events Page there are events being posted by all friends listed.
When I scroll over them no "hide" button appears ...

So if it a hide setting .. yes ... if there is a not allow post setting ... yes

You want to hide the application itself, block the invitations or stop the recent stories to show up on your Homepage?

In the Events section of my facebook

I want to not want to see events posted by others ...
I do want to see my events I have posted

For that you can go to your Profile, and in the Tabs you click on the "+" and select Events Wink
