Photos not loading Empty Photos not loading

I've used facebook on a MAC for about 3 years now. I never experienced problems until about a month ago. Using safari and firefox, pictures do not load. Instead, a box with a red "X" appears in the picture's place. I have not come across anyone who has this problem. A few other items:

The problem is random.
I have about 600 friends.
I tried clearing cache/cookies and resetting safari.
I'm the only one who knows my username/password.

Hello,

Do you have Javascript and the latest Flash versions installed? Maybe trying another broswer?
