Thank you in advance for your help. I was hoping someone here might have a "back door" means of contacting facebook, a link or email address that would be more effective.

I have been locked out of my account for 2 months. I have contacted facebook here:

I have also used a couple of email addresses and went through some link people use when their profile has been compromised.

Numerous attempts have either been ignored, or they have not been received. Maybe facebook did receive them and thought they fixed the problem. In either case, I have not been contacted by facebook by any means that I have provided, including a couple of email addresses and phone numbers. I have been polite in my communication, and have included details that I thought would be helpful.

What happened was I inadvertently clicked the link to cancel an email address change, and was locked out. I get through step two, and click the button to have a verification code sent to my email address, but no confirmation code comes. No email address is even listed where it says "send an email to:"(screen shot below). I have checked filters, cleared my cookies and cache and done everything I know to do. I have attempted access through other browsers, and other computers both inside and outside of my home. Nothing has worked.

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, because I still receive emails for that account telling me when I have been tagged in a photo, or when someone writes on my wall. So the email address listed on my account is working on some level.

I am frustrated and I don't know what to do. I hope someone here can point me in the right direction.[img][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/img][b]

Also, do you use an e-mail provider such as g-mail or hotmail? Or do you use a more private provider (like barracuda)

Yes, this is correct. Everyone can see my profile depending on their friend status. All of my friends can still send me messages, "gifts" and post to my wall. I just can't access it.

No, my registered emial address is not gmail, yahoo or anything like that. Totally privatel, created with a web site. I have provided my ymail email address in the past, in case this is the issue and facebook wanted to contact me there (I didn't with my last contact, though.... shoot).

I note you have not yet tried this method ??

Thanks for your suggestions Ruby1! I did try resetting the pass word before. Using your link, I tried again just now. It didn't work. There seems to be an issue with my email address, or something. I don't quite understand. Again, like in this suspended account problem, I didn't receive a confirmation code. I wonder if facebook is even getting my information via the web, from the forms I keep filling out. Or if they attempt to contact me but those emails aren't getting through. I give them my ymail address whenever I can, just in case.

Does anyone know of a specific email address that they know works and gets checked regularly?

Unlike this forum where we have a virtually hand-picked and specially selected Staff who WILL respond to complaints about this forum and /or its membership in a possitive and correct manner and hopefully virtually instantly if there is a Staff Member on board when the problem arrises ...Facebook itself , on the other hand , seems to be like a' bottomless pit 'of ' how CAN I contact them and get the reply I need .....

Those emails may just be automated by machines as most major internet cooperations do

I am not sure if there is some magical way to Contact Facebook and get the reply one wants.....

As JjS says, many of these E Mail addresses for Contacting Facedbook probably go to an automated service

Hoowever, we will all keep our eyes open and I will continue my search as I am sure you will too

Let me first start by saying to everyone who has put in time to help solve my problem, a heartfelt THANK YOU!! And also for those future offerings as well, thank you in advance.

Thank for that link, Ruby1! I have tried that link too. Sadly and unfortunately, filling it out and sending it in has not generated a response. Nor has it resulted in the suspension of my account being lifted. I did, however, fill it out again, and I'm hoping this time magic will occur.

It seems that I have hit a true roadblock, and a really big brick wall.

I did this to myself once before, months ago. A long time ago. I locked myself out of my account, I followed the steps, and I was back on in no time. This time, it was 2 weeks before I could get past step 1. It was stuck. Finally I got to step 2, and I've been there ever since. I ask facebook to send confirmation code, and no confirmation code ever arrives.

There is something wrong with their computer, possibly?? I wonder if my account is stuck in some facebook black hole, and facebook can't help me because they don't know I'm there? The whole facebook format changed after my suspension, so I wonder if my account is somewhat lost as a result. Is this possible? This is why I keep wondering if filling out these on line forms is doing my any good at all. You'd think that someone would have investigated it by now. Maybe my forms don't go because I'm lost. Or maybe they go but facebook looks and they can't find me? I know someone who was phished or hacked or whatever, and facebook got her problem solved in a week! This was a week before I locked myself out of my account. So I wonder. Well, I'll just stop rambling now.

I'll try emailing, and I'll keep filling out forms, and I'll try anything anyone tosses at me.

To the OP I am going to ask what computer scans ( if any ) have been done to see if the computer may be infected?

BUT I think it very important for people to realise that we (much though we would wish to have one!!) do not have any magical access TO Facebook which we all find frustrating at times ....

with this specific computer can we check to see if any infection is the culprit for this disobedient computer and its connection to Facebook

I was adamant about it not being my computer. Not, not, not. Like a two year old doing a sit down protest. OK, so I must listen to reason, and you make a great point.

I run McAfee, so I felt my computer was safe and free from problems. I decided to take a look around the facebook forum to see what I could find regarding scans. I had a hard time with it, and I don't know if there's just not that much info here, or if I did the search incorrectly. If you, or anyone, have links to sites or threads or anything helpful, I would appreciate it.

Anyways, I did, however, find AVG mentioned here, and I went ahead and downloaded the program. It found and isolated a few things, mostly cookies and what not picked up from the internet for advertising (which is odd, because I thought I cleared the cookies and there were a few from eons ago). Then I downloaded a prgram called Malwarebytes to try to rid myself of a virus I had picked up. Seems that McAfee mighta' missed something, eh?

So now scans are coming back clean. I went ahead and tried to log on again, did that capcha thing, and asked for a confirmation code to be sent to me. Still nuthin'. Still no email address displayed either.

I'll go ahead and write to facebook again and see what happends, I guess. Any further information regarding scans would be appreciated.

OMG, you are not going to believe what just happened! It's like some crazy April Fool's Day joke!

OK, so I got an email from facebook, telling me that someone wrote on my wall. This has been happening all along, as you know. I still get notifications from facebook, friend requests, when I've been tagged in a photo, received a private message, or when someone writes on my wall, even though I can't get a confirmation email, or get some kind of response from facebook regarding my suspension.

For stuff and giggles, I clicked the link. Facebook asked me to verify that it is me, though I don't recall having to type in a password. I clicked a blue button, and there I was. In my profile! I was so giddy! I did what I wanted to do. First I deleted all of my friends. That prevents anyone from tagging me in photos without my control. Then I went and untagged myself in all photos. Once that was done, I was going to change my pass word and then shut down the account.

That's when it all ended. Before I could go in to my account settings, I was asked to log in and then the usual "your account has been temporarily suspended". I can't get back in. Not even by the link I had just clicked. I deleted all of my cookies, and still nuthin'. Well, I didn't delete all of my cookies, though I'm tempted. There are quite a few facebook ones, though. A lot. (update to add, I have deleted all facebook cookies)

Unfortunately, I may have just shot myself in the foot. I deleted all of my friends so there will be no more chance access via a link because someone decided to write on my wall.

But maybe this will provide another clue for you to work with.

I have downloaded and run AVG, Malwarebytes and Super Antispyware. Along with McAfee, it's probably overkill. These programs removed cookies, and 5 viruses (trojans). Last scan, clean. AVG is set to run daily, and I'll run the others again if I have to.

So, what do you think is going on?

Yes, I ran both at the same time. And, yes, I have both installed. Why, is that bad? I can't figure out how to shut either of them off, so I think I'm going to have to uninstall one of them.

I hope this is what you asked for. I can't find the logs for the Superantispyware, but when I do I will post. I read that certain fonts are reserved for moderators. I believe those were colored fonts. I used some bold and underline to make it easier to read. This is the scan I did just before I accessed facebook breifly. I don't know if one has anything to do with the other, just that it happened.

Edit to clarify: eve of March 31/morning of April 1 somewhere between midnight and 1 AM (MST/PDT), I was able to access facebook for a very short period of time. Perhaps no more than 5 minutes. Can't figure out how to search a thread to give you a direct link. It's just a couple of posts earlier.

so your saying you can access Facebook now?

Correct me if I am wrong but do you say you still have BOTH antivirus programs installed?

Please let me know the answer to that question?

Hi Jj, nope, can't access my old account, still. I was able to, only briefly sometime on March 31/April 1 (between midnight and 1 AM, I think. MST/PDT). I just tried again, and it didn't work.

Ruby, yes I am running both McAfee and AVG at the same time. I don't know how to shut either of them off, so I need to uninstall one of them.

I edited my earlier posts to reflect these two answers, I hope.

Update, almost 4.5, almost 5 months after my account was suspended, I'm back on! If anyone is reading this, if your cell phone is not linked to your profile, link it. It's good to have more than one way to communicate with facebook.

Facebook NEVER contacted me, or responded to my please for help.

The story, if you're interested:

Long story short, I accessed my profile by accident, as in the past. I was given the option of adding my cell phone number to my profile (this is a first) so I did. Because of this, I was able to proceed through step 2 of the suspended account reactivation process, get a confirmation code and I now have full control of my profile again.

Long story long..... My access to my account seemed to be dependant on someone writing on my wall. I don't understand it, but each time I accidentally got in to my account, it was by clicking the link I got by email when someone wrote on my wall. It is at that time, I'd be able to navigate through my profile until a password was required. Then I'd be locked out. If I clicked on that link again, it wouldn't work. I'd have to wait for someone to write on my wall. Asking for confirmation codes, or changing password, never worked. I just wasn't getting the emails.

In case my successful log-ins to my account were due to day or dates, I made sure to log in at the end of April, between 11 PM and 1 AM, multiple times. I also attempted to access my account on various days, and various other times of the day for good measure. It never worked.

As a matter of fact, it was more frustrating because recently I became stuck in a new loop. I'd be directed to a page that said something like, "We noticed a spelling error" and showed me another profile with the same name and a link that said "Not you? Click here." (The profile they'd show me was the #2 profile I created a couple of months after facebook suspended me) I'd click "not me" and I would be directed to a log in page. I'd enter my password and I'd end up on that stupid "is this you?" page again. It wasn't even taking me to the "your account has been suspended page". I was gearing up to post to facebook forum again, since I seemed to have hit yet another gigantic brick wall.

So yesterday, I got a post to my wall from a friend who had been off face book for awhile and managed to avoid the mass delete of friends I did earlier. I clicked the link and lo and behold, I was IN!! Be still my beating heart! No password was asked for. It was a page that said something like, "welcome back. It's been awhile" with my profile picture. I clicked a link and there I was! Only this time was different. This time I was asked if I wanted to attach my cell phone to the account. HECK YA! Seems email wasn't working. So I entered in my cell phone, got a confirmation code, entered that in and now my cell phone was linked.

So I proceeded to delete all of the friends that were left, friended my profile #2 (so I could write on the wall from time to time to force connection) and deleted as much personal information as I could before a password was required. I was determined that if I could no longer have access or control of this account, I wanted to remove as much of me from the account as I could. Then I could just let it go. Even my profile picture wasn't me, it was my pet. I could let it all go.

Eventually, a password was required and I got to that "your account has been suspended page".

I went through the steps to unsuspend my account. This time I was able to select having the confirmation code sent to my cell phone. Received! My account was un-suspended in a matter of minutes!

I changed my password too. Using my cell phone. I think I will change my email address next.

So to facebook forum, your help was invaluable. Especially Ruby. . Even though the fix was quite accidental, the fact that you were there to try and help is very much appreciated.

So this is my update. This matter is now closed, and closed for real. Whew!
