change my display name

heres the thing, i have a facebook account that i created for my forum. i was able to change my username to my forum name.
but still when i write something my real name shows up. i want to change it to my website name.

i have tried changing the real name and altenative name but the automated system wont allow my new name. i have emailed facebook requesting to change my name, but havent got any response. i have been doing this for last 2 months now.

can anyone help me out on this one? is there another way to change my display name? i dont want to show my real name on the account that is for my forum.

To change your display name (ie. "John Smith")

Account -> Account Settings --> Name --> Change

To change your username (ie. "[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] go to:

Account -> Account Settings --> Username --> Change

I dont' get what you mean. What does the Forum has to do with any of this?

Are you using Facebook Connect? Please give me the link to the forum.

i want to remove my real name and use Football Furor.

But what does your Facebook account have to do with your Forum Account?!?

Again, where in the Forum are you using your Facebook account? What does your forum account have to do with your facebook account, how are they linked?

there is no link between them. do i have to use facebook connect to be able to use my display name as Football Furor?

Okay this is pointless. What made you think your Forum account had anything to do with your Forum account? Are you the Admin of that forum?

Apart from that, I don't know if you can install FB Connect in a MyBB board.

You mean you can change your username (No idea why you brought the forum topic to the table then!)

Maybe the name is blocked. Try FootballFuror (all together)

Because 'Football' is not usually a first name, the facebook automated system likely will not allow you to create a personal profile with the name 'Football Furor'. Your username is independent from your profile name, and posts you make through will show up as your profile name only (ie. your display name is your profile name).

The link above is a Fanpage, not a personal profile page. A fanpage would likely be suited for your purpose as well. By creating a fanpage named 'Football Furor', you can make posts on your fan page under the name 'Football Furor', and keep your identity private.

Go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , select your Fanpage, and type the name of the username you want for it

Have you tried 'FootballFuror' (ie. without the '.com')?
