Transparent Logo
I am one of the admins for my local YMCA's facebook page. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (I know my lame attempt at a transparent logo sucks)
How can I get a logo like the official YMCA's? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
How did they use Wikipedia as the image source?

This is actually fascinating... Facebook only allows JPG files, which must always have backgrounds. The YMCA's image links to...

So that's an external server that hosts the .png file and that can be only modified by Facebook itself. The YMCA page isn't a "Like" page, though, it's an Interests page. Besides, their admins must have somehow asked Facebook to link their avatar to that server.
What you can do is something similar to this...
There IS way to do it using FBML on your page, though, so I'll see if I come up with something, but can't really promess anything
