Receiving e-mail notifications
why am I getting notices about a so called response regarding this subject when indeed there is no response? This as you can see by the date, was something asked way back in August. Any ideas?

Notices about an old subject
Why would I be getting a notice about a so called response to a subject way back in August? I followed the Link but there was no response. In fact, I was the last one to post on that. The subject line was (and still is I guess) ... "Can't log in apart from Facebook login" ...
Any ideas as to why I would be still getting notices about this?
Moved from General to General discussion about Facebook forum

This is going 'off-topic' but maybe Admin can check your settings
Meanwhile why is this in FAQ section?
Moved from FAQ to Facebook Support Profile and in Box

Re: Notices about an old subject
I've posted this two times over and it's been moved twice. I've been told it's been moved from General to General Discussion. And where might General discussion be? Instead of just answering the question, I'm being sent on a wild goose chase!!!!

Actually, it isn't going off topic at all. I received a notice about an old subject way back in August and was told to follow the Link. Going there, I found no response and when I try to find out why I'm getting these message(s) I'm sent flying here and there to find the subject. Yet I haven't found it. Let's do this - I'll stop posting in the *so called* wrong places where I'm refused a simple reply - someone make it that I stop receiving these annoying notices. Deal?

Okay, one thing at the time.
First, this topic was posted in the right section at first. However, Ruby may have thought you were referring to a Facebook issue... that's probably why it was (incorrectly) moved.
Second, performing a search on the forum before going nuts and complaining would be a lot better. Your answer can be found on this topic. Or, alternativelately, you can click on the "Stop watching topic" link at the right bottom of your topic.
Third, are you talking about this topic? It's weird that you got an e-mail notification reply. Maybe someone accidentally posted on it, and then the post was splitted into an own topic to give that person individual attention.

Re: Notices about an old subject
Not going nuts - or at least I don't think I have, but permit me to do a thorough check after this posting. I was actually thinking someone on this forum had flipped off the rails, first, informing me of a reply to an old posting when actually there was no reply.
Trying to find out why, my posting(s) are moved to where I cannot find either of them. Exciting!!! The thread that I received *another notice* about, was Can't log in apart from Facebook login ---
So I began a new posting trying to fathom out why I was getting notice(s) - a simple honest request begging for a simple reply. Again, I get a notice, only to go on the forum to find this posting has been moved. At this point, I'm looking for the Tums, not a Psychiatrist.
Back in the Fall, I also got a reply to this former thread when actually there was no reply.
So forgive the repetition, but I was only looking for a quick answer - not really going bonkers!
If you're able to, it might be best to totally delete both the aforementioned threads. Appreciate your reply!!!

Re: Notices about an old subject
I'm sorry this turned out to be such a mess.
You can find all the posts you've made by clicking on Account > View your posts (at the top). Then you can avoid getting confused if a topic was moved. We have to move lots of topics a day, so sending out PM's/notifications to all topics authors would be extremely tiring...
And the reason why you got a notification for your topic, when you actually couldn't find it, is because a post made on your topic (someone looking for Mobile Confrimation Help, nothing to do with your topic) was splitted and made into a new topic (that can be found here). That action was done earlier today.
Sorry for that, but unfortunately once a reply is posted, the e-mail is delivered. And it doesn't get deleted to unsent even if that reply was deleted, moved, or anything.
I'll try to help you solve those issues you're having with Facebook is you still need assistance. Can we consider this problem solved now?

Thank you for your kind and informative reply. Reading how easy it is to find my postings, I'm sitting here beet red and feeling like a total idiot !!! I'm not on here much, and therefore am not quite aware of the *know hows* ...
Anyway, I appreciate your help and we definitely can call this one solved. Have a super weekend!!! I think I'll do fifty laps around the house!!!??! :-}

Haha, no problem at all. It can be a little 'difficult' to browse around the forum at first, but remember we're always a post/e-mail away. Have a great weekend too!
Locked as solved.
