Editing religion/politics description boxes

On the edit profile page:

Under the box for <religion>, there is a box labeled <description>. I had text entered there since I got the account.

The other day, I was editing it and changed the religion box above the desc box. This made me lose all I had typed there. Now it won't let me type in the box. The box is grayed out. I changed <politics> at the same time so I lost that, too.

I've searched their help file and online but found nothing useful. I'd appreciate any advice to fix this. Thanks.

Go back to the profile edition page and delete your current religion/politics field. Then type it again and select it from the list.

Save changed after that, then refresh the page (Ctrl + F5). The descriptions fields should not be grayed out then.
