Facebook problems
I am having the exact same issues as kellyblan. Luckily there is no important photos etc that havent been backed up elsewhere.
I know the email address that the hacker is now using because its in my info, (I asked my mum to look at my profile) its a hotmail.co.uk one. Facebook wont help me and again my PC is completely free of any viruses/malware/spyware its a brand new system.
Any advice Ruby would be most appreciated.
Thanks for reading

With respect; you do not have the exact same issue as the other poster as your Facebook account is not the same as theirs is it?
Nor have you landed on a Page that is not Facebook have you ?
Nor have you had your computer thoroughly checked out by Computer specialists to determine it is infection free?
You might wish to try to tell us just how that Facebook account got hacked so maybe we can proceed from there ?
What is its antivirus Program? Does it have any P2P programs on it
When if at all have any scans been run on it and if so what scans?

Re: Facebook problems
Hi Ruby,
Thanks for replying to me.
About two weeks ago I started having login problems where I was having to reset my password every time I tried accessing Facebook. I changed my email address on Facebook itself because I though perhaps they were logging in through my email.
I have changed all of my passwords to all of my email accounts so thought everything would return back to normal.
Three days ago I tried to login to Facebook and it was telling me that there was no account associated with any of my email addresses (I have three) When I asked my mum to have a look at the details on my profile she told me an email address which is definitely not mine.
I have tried all of the Facebook "help" which is basic and not helping me.
I cant answer using my secret question as Im suspecting its been wiped off and all Facebook are telling me is that because of the email address which of course, I don't have access to, I cant prove I am who I say I am.
I have access to two computers. The first is protected with AVG Free 2011 and Superantispyware and the second (which is the brand new unit) I have the full Norton security on it as well as superantispyware and both of the computers are free of infections.
Full scans have been run on both.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post
Just to add, I have also run malwarebytes too
Thanks for replying to me.

Did you get an email notification about this change ?
Does anyone else apart from you have access to the computers ?
Do you do any P2P stuff on there?
What URL do (did)you use to access Facebook ?

Re: Facebook problems
Hi,
Yes, every time I got email notifications about me changing email addresses but not that I had "forgotten" my password or that the email that is now linked to FB had been changed.
My ex had access to the other computer that I havent used for a few weeks but im sure he never knew passwords, just done a quick google search for P2P, as i never knew what it was and i am confident that there is no P2P software.
I use [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I manually log in each time

So you need to wait for maybe a week...then try again
The 'catch' to success seems to be to leave Facebook alone for a week or so to let it all 'calm down'
then try again.....

Ill post back in a week or so
I will send this to Solved as it is from the experience of others who have passed though this section that, if you give Facebook a rest for a week or so...do not even try to log in...then go back to it..you may get straight back in !!!
But do repost if still problems !!!
Or even a thread feedback would be nice so others know what happened to you and how long it took before you got back in !!
