Can't see new friend activity on my own wall
I try to avoid spamming people with my activity by hiding as much of it as I can. Recently I added a lot of new friends (after being deactivated for a few months - FB had annoyed me so much). When I (or anyone else) looks at my profile->wall, there is no friend activity listed there (so I'd be fooled into thinking I wasn't spamming anyone). But on other people's regular home (most recent) feed, they DO see my friending activities.
How can I (a) bring back my friend activity to my own wall and thereby at least have a chance of being able to try and click the X on one of the friend updates and perhaps get an option to "not post this stuff to the wall anymore", (b) stop sending these to other people's feeds.
I'm also trying to stop message likes, page likes, comments on posts, comments in discussions, and everything else I do from being auto-posted to my wall.
The ideal situation is that the only things that EVER appear on my wall, or get fed into my friend's news feeds, are things that I've explicitly decided to share (e.g. a typed-out status update, link, video, note, or photo). That's the nirvana of FB privacy in my opinion. If a human didn't explicitly post it, it shouldn't get posted.
An "Edit Options" on my own wall would be nice. I don't get one. I only have one when I'm viewing my news feed.

Probably your friend blocked you or rarely goes online.
