How can I retrieve my old messages from Chat as I need them for evidence for something??

i think that isn't possible if you already have click on Clear Chat History..

You need to wait until that person gets back onli and clicking on "View Chat History". Otherwise, it's not possible.

its been about week since i spoke to the person and is no longer on my friend list, just wondered if facebook held logs of them for so long.
