Cannot access account with out mobile number?

I am having a problem. I set up my facebook account 2 weeks ago and everything was fine untill I logged in today with email address and was them ask to provide a mobile number to confirm who i am, I have a mobile but have not used it for weeks and do not know where it is and do not really want to give it out anyway.

Dose this mean I can not access my facebook account with out a mobile number?

P.S Been think about borrowing a mobile to get round this.

And everyone seems to be ignoring my question. The first time I posted this you said it was on the hijacked thread (they had the same problem) the second time I merged a thread (My mistake) and now I start a new topic I am posting new threats about the same thing. Why not just answer the question and i can go back to the beach.
Lots of people are having this problem and no one has an answer

p.s i believe the problem was verifing the email address two weeks ago it did not work and now they want a mobile number.

P.s.s i just going to borrow a mobile to get round this.

My question now is, are you trying to log into Facebook on a different location than normal?

No trying to log on in the same location, what happened was I was changing my interests and saved them and clicked on that I liked the volcanlogy page then facebook asked me to relog in with email and password which i did then they asked for a mobile number.

Just tryed to log in from a different location and the same thing happens.

Going to borrow a mobile and try it.

Yes it worked i can access my account again, it did cost the standard rate for the text message.
