game requests page does not load

my game requests page is stuck on this screen and does not load:

for a long time i have been having a delayed loading of the page which would take around 3 to 5 minutes. i assumed it was because i have too many requests (around 6700)
that i left to accumulate because it took too long to delete them, and i get around 300 new ones a day... i never thought that it would break on me completely like it has now.

what can i do? and is there a way to block requests from an app without blocking the app itself - i would like to continue playing, and i also wonder if i proceed to block the app causing the most requests, will the old requests be automatically deleted?

Yes, you can click on the X button and then on "Ignore all requests from [Friend]?". That way, all requests made by a certain friend will all be ignored at once.
