posting a link on the wall results in too many photos! Empty posting a link on the wall results in too many photos!

When I post a link to the wall it automatically pulls all the images from the entire website, large and small, making a grand mess. When I click the box to not include any thumbnail it freezes. How can I get it to only post one single image or no image at all when I put a link on the wall or status update?
