the goblin always advised mods, and admins alike, to use their powers lightly, and only in extreme cases too, simply knowing that any thread will only die of its own accord, regardless of whoever posts whatever to it, so most threads become hijacked, but what of it then, they still sink where not made into a sticky, explaining "...simply those who are posting to it are still giving the site something for others to read her, whereas, if someone wants to post and then can't, if some new poster turns up and see lots of undue locks, deletions and bans, or if a poster feels that that his or her efforts will only be curtailed here, then the end result is the same, a decline in the number of new posts..." pausing "...and new posts, obviously, are the life blood of any site, and as such, are even more important than the actual number of member then, as it is for their posts, and not for the members then, that one is here, or am I wrong I wonder..."
