Is there anyway to edit a sent message?

Unfortunately you cannot, it's like an email service. However you can delete the sent message and then send another one with the changes made.

On your Homepage, click on the Messages icon at the top, then click on See All Messages. After that, at the left of the Homepage, click on "Sent", find the message, and click on the "X" next to it. Then you can write the new one.

I'm asking if a sent message can be edited because a friend of mine received a not-so-friendly message on facebook. The person that sent the message let me see their sent messages and it didn't match what my friend said. So just so I'm understanding correctly, there is no way for the orginal sender to have altered the message after it was sent? Thanks

There isn't, as far as I know. That's strange, for real?
