Removing Duplicate User Profiles

As a result of the problem below, I now have 4 user profiles, all under the same email address. When people search for me they see 4 entries. The login email for all 4 is the same and it takes me to the correct profile. My question is, How do I remove the other 3 that show up when my name is searched? Thanks for any advice!

By the way, how did you create 4 different profiles under the same e-mail address? Is that even possible?

It's not a matter of deactivating the accounts. I was attemting to set up a new account and couldn't complete the confirmation step at the end, so I started over from the beginning. I did this 3 times before finally getting it to work on the 4th try. I can only access the 4th profile but they all show up as search results when you input my name. The same email and pwd were used each time. It's like there are 3 phantom accounts! Any ideas?

Report each of those 'phantom profiles' to Facebook, with the "Report/Block this person" at the left of each page, and select "Fake Profile - This doesn't repesent a real person" as the reason.

OK, I tried this and it does not seem to have worked. Any other suggestions?
