Set my group to auto-approve requests to join?

I have an "Open" group on Facebook that I want to stop receiving requests to join from people - I just want them to be able to automatically join like you would with a fan page. I can not find ANYTHING in the settings related to this. Is this possible? Thanks.

On Edit Group => Basic Information => Membership Approval, there should be a box that says Only admins can approve requests to join. Uncheck it.

I've got the exact same issue. Unchecking the box does nothing, I've tried it several times.

I tried this once again and it didn't seem to work. As an admin, I still have to confirm every request.

This sounds like a Facebook glitch, so you should report it [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Note that they won't reply if the problem has been found or fixed.
