"JOIN" a Group?
I have a group that is private.
(1) I have invited some people to join by sending "Invites". Others are Joining with out receiving an invite. It appears that for those who I have sent an Invite, when they click on "Join", they are automatically accepted with no notification to me. For those who have not been sent an invite and who click on "Join", they don't become a member until I or one of the Administrators accepts them. Is that the way it is supposed to work?
(2) Is there anything in "settings" I can set so that I get an email anytime a new member "Joins"? If not, is there a way to periodically export a list of members so I can keep track of all of those who have Joined?

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
=> Moved from FAQ to Groups Support - Please post in the proper section
(1) You can make the group closed for that.
Go to your Group > Edit Group Settings > Closed group
(2) Not possible, Facebook doesn't have notifications for that.
Hope it's helped

Admins must approve requests for new members to join. Anyone can see the group description, but only members can see the Wall, discussion board, and photos.
Go to your Group > Edit Group Settings > Closed group

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
My group is already closed. However, people who have been Invited to Join and then click on Join, do not have to be approved by an Admin. They are automatically accepted as Members in my group. Is that correct or is there some other setting I need to know about?

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
Please provide the link to your group. I'll have to try it myself

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
It works fine, it says "Request to Join", and if I click the button, I'm taken to the same Info tab and that's all I can see.

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
That is not the question. I know it works for someone like yourself because I never sent you an Invite.
My original question remains and is -- If I send an Invite to someone, will it still say Awaiting Membership Confirmation when they click "Join" or is membership granted automatically?

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
They'll see the "Request to join" group, being invited just means sending a request for other to join, which will show up at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as a Group Request.

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
That's not what is happening. Those I have invited are automatically being granted membership. They never appear on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . I really don't mind. I just wonder if that is what is supposed to happen?

Re: "JOIN" a Group?
The request will show up on their requests page, not on yours. Like this.
It's weird that this invited people automatically join the group... Honestly, I didn't know it worked that way.
