FB disabled my email address Empty FB disabled my email address

Many years ago I signed up for FB using my xxx email account. Stopped using FB for a while, forgot the PW, and then 2 yrs ago I re-registered using my name and my work email yyy account. Now I need to change my profile email account back to xxx (my personal email acct) but FB won't let me. Keeps giving an error message about that email being disabled.

FB does not seem to have a listed procedure for dealing with this issue. No one has ever hacked my FB account.

How can I get FB to change my profile to my actual personal email acct?
