Change Username Empty Change Username

I am trying to change my username. I still have my one chance. The new name I enter is available, but then I get this error message:

"There was an error while setting your username: Already has alias"

Does anyone know if this can be resolved? I wish to change my username because I want to use the same name for my company page.

after you did the new username, did you wait 24 hrs before checking to see if it has been changed?
