Number of Fans is not correct

Hello,
I have the same problem with our Fanpage like it is described in this thread:

On our Fanpage "Escapade Sports" (sorry, I am still not allowed to post external links .....) the number of Fans is 1002. When I click on "like this" copy and paste the list into an Excel file (yes, I wait until the whole list is loaded) I count only around 494.

Do you know what happened?

Yes I still have the problem. But the link in the mail doesn´t lead to this page. It leads to a not very serious looking page .
Not sure what this is all about......

Regarding the link in the email, we are aware of the issue and are looking into it - we're changing to a new url and there are still some things to be ironed out. In the meantime kindly access our forum using our new link, ie. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Anyway, back on topic. The problem you mentioned has been reported here several times; it seems as though Facebook just displays an X amount of recent fans as opposed to all of them. Probably not much help, but the best you could do is report it as a bug to Facebook. Here is the link to do so:
