cannot sign in on fb

i have had an fb account for ages and suddenly for the last 2 months or so it will not accept my password nor does it allow me to reset it saying that "email id invalid". fb had responded to my issue with a response that asked me to reply to. i have done that three times with the details but i have not heard from them. itmw my account is alive because my fb folder in my email account is flooded with mails and messages from there.

what should i do?

Can any of your friends view your account? Would anyone else know your password?

Your account may have been deleted, deactivated, or hacked.

no one else would know the password. also it is obvious that others are able to see the account because i get messages on it all the time. it doesn't seem like it is deleted....also there seems to be no noticeable funny activity from the account for one to suspect hacking. deactivated? dunno.

is there a fourth alternative?

To me it may be deactivated. Try contacting Facebook.

who should i mail to? is there some way to get a quick response?

Imagine... Facebook gets thousand of problem emails everyday so you just have to be patient.

Do what I told prithwighorpade to do

I do,but they were unable to find an account associated with the email adress....
I realy dont know what is happening.I log yesterday with no problem,but today I can not....

Maybe your account was hacked.

Did you receive any strange e-mail from Facebook, accesed any strange page or gave your password to somebody?

I recive email from facebook today-no strange...my brother have my pass...

Mmm, maybe your brother changed it. What message do you receive when logging in?

I trust my brother and his not change my pass....when I log in writte incorrect email/password combination and I cant reset my password,saying that invalid email....

this is because someone has changed your password, hackers have been able to get face book accounts please check your email associated with that account and look for any emails that say account deactivated or just click on the change password and confirm it by email and reset it.

1. Can your friends see your account?
2. Did your account show any strange recent activity?
3. Click on "I forgot my Password" to receive the confirmation e-mail

In case anyone reading this believes that it is a 'good practice' ( or that there is nothing wrong with doing so or no risk involved with it) to let others know your username and/or password for anywhere ,I ask you to please read this

No one needs to know your password – including your supervisor and network administrator. ....

In summary, there is absolutely no legitimate reason to share passwords.

In essence. No one should be trusted with your username and /or password

This is really one of the first rules of internet safety

Never give out your password to anyone for any reason!

The ONLY people that NEED to know it, already have it, no matter what they tell you!

and that only person who needs to know it is you...no-one else ..
