Update profile information

I continue to try to change my email address that is listed on my profile but it will not change. I had a previous FB page that used this email but it has been closed since 2010. When I try to change the wrong email to the correct email it says that the email address is being used by another account. But that account is closed and I would really like to have my correct address on my correct Facebook Page. Please help.

Can you still login to your old account associated with the email address?

I changed the email address on the old FB page before I closed it, I thought that would free up my actual email address.

Was that account deleted by you, deactivated by you or disabled by you? Remeber you have to follow a link to completely delete your account.
