Messaging STILL Blocked

OK, I'm new here...searched out the site just to find the answer to my question. I'm not all that FaceBook savvy and was sending out invitations for a surprise birthday party to people on a friends list of friends. The only way I could think of contacting them since they are not on my friends list. After about 40 or so messages FB has blocked my messaging for "hours to days". I am getting some replys, but I cannot send anything back. Any idea how long this block usually lasts? Hey, I could have been going about it wrong, but I'm no spammer, just trying to do something nice for a friend.

Hey, welcome to the Forum

This block lasts aproximately 6 hours. After this time you'll be able to send messages again. Remember you cannot send so much messages all of sudden because your account can get disabled.

I don't understand why my messaging feature is still blocked the next day as admin stated it would take only six hours. I have to reply to birthday party invitations and no way to get back to those who write.

I presume you are still unable to use your account?

My account does not appear to be suspended. I can post updates and engage in chat. It seems to be only the messaging feature that is blocked.

Well, that was the case as of an hour ago. Since I received your note, I just checked again and was able to reply to a message. Thanks for your time.
