Getting an error

Hello, ever since they changed how the wall posts, post a link and photo and all that if I try and put in my fan page in the link section in another group to advertise it I get this error. Application sent invalid response. I wasnt able to find anything on Facebook itself and was hoping someone could help me. Thank you.

That is the link to my fan page and the link I am also trying to post. Which before they did their changes yesterday was never a problem now I am getting that error.

The write on wall, ask a question add photo add a link that they changed to yesterday.

You may be part of the beta team then, some people experienced this changes (not everybody).

How are you trying to post this link? Pasting it, or clicking the Link's icon?

LOL it still sucks because it's in beta, probably really buggy and glitchy.

Try pasting the link as a Status, then hit "Send" and see if it works

Yeah probably is. Weird thing though one of my Firefox add ons I can make a link smaller and gives me a different address for it, I can do that to it and it will post just fine in that, and other links will post just fine, but that one it wont.

I have no problems at all posting it as a status.

I guess so except that it doesnt show up the same, all it shows up as is the address and not how it does in the link.

Go to your page -> Edit Page. Is the "Links" application activated?

Hmm not sure what you are meaning by activated in this instance but yes it is there.

If it's there, it means it's activated. Doesn't it show up like this, for instance?


Or there's no thumbnail at all?

When I put it in the write on wall it will just show up as a link and thats all.

Ok I took three pictures. One show how my wall with how it says write on wall and post link and all that shows now for me. One shows the error I am getting when trying to post the link to my group. One shows how it looks when I just post the link in write on wall.

And they obviously didnt save lol. So give me a second.

Oh hell, what did I do wrong? lol

This worked for me. Paste the link as a status, then visit another tab you have open (on your browser) and then go to the Fan Page tab again. Thumbnail should be there.

Uh paste it on the wall somewhere then go back to my page and go to edit page? I have no edit fan page.

No. Go to your page, click "Post Status", paste the link, visit another tab you have open (Google for example), then go back to your Fan Page.

It just stays the link.

Then it could be the new version that doesn't allow posting links... I'll do a little research and get back to you as soon as I find anything
