Spam sent from my account

Spam is being sent to my friends' walls from my account. I think it started when I clicked a link to a video someone sent me and it asked me to update my flash. I don't know if this is a virus or just a compromised account. I changed my password, hoping this solves it.

Any ideas or suggestions?

(PS: I should know better than to have let it upgrade my flash like that. Stupid.)

The hopefully obvious; what if any( please name it all ) is the Protection on the computer you use to access Facebook ? When did you last update it all and run full computer scans?


You do still have access to the Email address associated with Facebook ?

I'm on a Mac, so no virus protection. Yes I can access the email account. I changed that password after seeing your reply. Thanks for that.

Dis-install/remove whatever the link led you to.

I'm not seeing anywhere that anything was download to or installed to. Looked in ~/Applications, ~/Downloads, and all the Application Support directories. Console doesn't show anything. Using Chrome browser and not seeing anything in there either.

Poking around, it looks like I got suckered into the flashpuddle exploit that steals my facebook password. So Hopefully I'm safe after changing the password.

Fingers crossed, and lesson learned. Just wasn't paying attention and got complacent.

Have you , as a precaution, changed the Password on your email address?
