"Your password could not be reset. You have reached the limit of password reset attempts."

My sister-in-law has forgotten her Facebook password and tried to reset it. Unfortunately she got it wrong and now when we try to reset the password we get the above messages.

If the 'contact us' link is followed then a page stating "Unfortunately this contact form is no longer in use. For more information, please visit our [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]."

Searching the Help Centre provides no information about the password reset limit or how to contact anyone in Facebook support (if such a think exists).

Does anyone know how long the password reset limit takes to clear or what email address or web page to use to contact someone at Facebook to sort this out?

After searching for about an hour, I finally found a reference to the password reset limit [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Of course , this wasn't found by any search, just by rndom reading. Since we have been receiving the password reset emails (they just haven't worked for some reason) we hadn't looked at this as a help topic!

Thanks for a reply; assumed to be solved but please do get the Account holder to request further help if Facebook access proves elusive!!
