comments from friends about non-friends status' lines

I'm getting messages that a friend has commented on so and so who is not a friend's status.

I don't want to know about these non-friends, can I hide these messages?

They are part of the newsfeed.

All it says is 'Friend' commented on 'non-friend's status.

On the News Feed? Don't you mean the Live Feed? Have you gotten the new Facebook Layout already?

Do you get just that message or a full story including that nonfriend's status?

Have you got a pending request with that nonfriend?

Just that message.

No pending request or any connection whatsoever with that non-friend.

That's weird. That should only show up on his/her Profile, but not on your Homepage.

I'm sorry can't give any information about myself or my friends on here.

I do not think I am the only one with this problem.

Perhaps you can just say that you don't know the answer, easier than asking me all these questions I would have thought.

I was trying to help - If you think you don't need our help just don't ask.

I could say just Report this to Facebook but I was trying to first find the cause an then the solution. If you didn't know, that's how problems are solved.
