Verifying account

The SMS confirmation appears to be straightforward. I had a problem with the convention of the phone number so deleted it. Opened a new request and went through the verification process. received the code. Added it to the website field and advised that there had been too many attempts.
It ired to get oriented with the help sections but this appears to be circular. Direction or suggestion would be most gratefully received.
